The State of Río de Janeiro in Brazil on Friday officially recognized
the Armenian Genocide, and set April 24 as “Day of Recognition and
Remembrance of the Victims of the Armenian Genocide.”
The Governor of Río de Janeiro, Luiz Fernando Pezão, had submitted the respective bill to the state parliament, reported Agencia Prensa Armenia.
