    ARMENIA DECLARES DECEMBER 9 COMMEMORATION DAY OF ALL GENOCIDES


    The Government of the Republic of Armenia has affirmed the legislative initiative of the Deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, suggesting marking December 9 as the commemoration day of all genocides of the world, Armenpress reports.
     
    At the course of the February 12 session of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan noted that the Government has no principle objections on the draft law of the Republic of Armenia on Making Amendments in the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Holidays and Commemoration Days.
    At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan highlighted that the project fixes April 24 as the Armenian Genocide commemoration day.
