Στο αρμενικό σπίτι
αποφασίσαμε μαζί
να βοηθήσουμε
και τα άλλα θύματα
δίχως να περιμένουμε
να τα βγάλουν πέρα
μόνοι τους οι Ασσύριοι
γιατί όλοι μας ξέραμε
ότι είναι λιγότεροι
κι ενώ έζησαν τα ίδια
κι επέζησαν σκληρά
από μια γενοκτονία
κανείς δεν άκουγε
την ιστορία τους
και τον πόνο τους
ενώ ο πολιτισμός τους
ήταν και είναι
δείγμα ανθρωπιάς,
έτσι νέοι και γέροι
θέλησαν με το ψήφισμα τους
να αποδείξουν
ότι είναι όντως
οι συνάνθρωποί τους.

decidimos juntos
ayudar a las otras víctimas
sin esperar
que lo llevaran a cabo
solos los asirios
porque todos sabíamos
que son menos
y aunque sufrieron lo mismo
y sobrevivieron duramente
a un genocidio
nadie escuchaba
su historia
y su dolor
por mucho que su civilización
fuera y siga siendo
muestra de compasión,
así jóvenes y ancianos
quisieron con su voto
demostrar
que de verdad son
sus prójimos.
